Sales soar at Nightingale Quarter
A peak of sales for phase one of the Nightingale Quarter residential scheme in Derby city centre has been announced by developer Wavensmere Homes.
With only six properties remaining from the initial 125 two- and three-bedroom homes available, they are starting to take shape following the return of subcontractors to the site in August.
Buyers have responded positively to virtual tours of the properties being offered by the site's agents. James Dickens, managing director of Wavensmere Homes, said: “What’s been really important to us is that buyers have felt safe when wanting to purchase a property. We have been working closely with our agents Ashley Adams who are based in the city centre, in ensuring that if people visit their offices, they have the space and the top digital resources on hand to do this.”
The 18-acre scheme, being constructed on the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary site, will be a ‘green oasis’ for residents, including cycle routes, an open air gym and fitness area, children’s play areas and planting throughout the development.
The site’s iconic pepper pot buildings will be retained for community use, with residents having access to numerous facilities including a café, gym, exhibition space and meeting rooms.
The cost of homes for a two-bed property at the site starts at £191,000 and for a three-bed property, £220,000.
Hannah Kelham, Head of New Homes for Connells Group, whose Ashley Adams agency in Derby is marketing the site says: “Derby in particular is a hub of industry and confidence is high within the city, which has such great links to the rest of the country. It really is a positive sign for the region that this new development is doing so well.”
The second phase of properties will be released later this year. For those wanting to register their interest in the homes, visit qderby.co.uk.
