Showcase your history
Sponsor a fence panel with Bondholder The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Foundation Trust to preserve a piece of your company’s history whilst showing support for the NHS.
Organised by the hospital’s Air Arts programme, which was established in 2007 with the aim of aiding wellbeing through art, the scheme is just one of many arts projects at The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Foundation Trust.
The vision is for the panels at the Royal Derby Hospital to be a unique representation of Derby’s rich and diverse business community, joined together in united support for the NHS, to welcome visitors at the region’s healthcare hub.
It aims to provide moments of distraction from illness and improve the hospital experience for everyone including patients, visitors and staff.
Laura Waters, Arts Programme Manager, explains: “It’s an ideal opportunity for local businesses to show their support for the NHS at the region’s largest and busiest healthcare centre. The cost of sponsorship includes a donation to NHS charities, so businesses are giving back in more ways than one!”
“The elliptical blue panels, individually designed by artists in consultation with each business, will be laser-cut and affixed to the fence to welcome the 2 million patients and visitors the hospital receives each year. Through the artwork, businesses can tell the story of their work, values, history and connection to the local area.
“A hospital visit can often be fraught with nerves and emotion, so by making the site appear welcoming, friendly and attractive right from the perimeter we’re taking steps to reduce this stress and improve the experience for everyone.
“Sponsorship of a panel costs £2500 which includes time with an artist to have your input into the panel’s design, as well as a charitable donation. At a time when the work of the NHS has been so vital and so valued, this is an ideal way to show your gratitude, permanently.”
