Call for new pipeline projects
Bondholder D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership is calling for new capital projects to create a pipeline of future investment propositions.
D2N2 is responsible for delivering the Local Growth Fund (LGF) which is worth over £250 million to the region, and the new £44.4m Getting Building Fund (GBF) allocation from Government.
Should further funding becomes available, capital projects in the pipeline, within Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, will support the organisation’s ambitions set out in the emerging Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) and will aid the region’s economic recovery from Covid-19.
D2N2 Interim Chair, David Williams, said: “With the recent Getting Building Fund providing £44.4 million pounds worth of investment for ten projects within our area, it’s never been more important for our region to stand ready to attract Government investment whenever the opportunity presents itself.
“I call upon our community to bring forward strong and ambitious projects that will improve life chances for our residents, providing more jobs, more learning opportunities, and more homes.”
D2N2 is inviting applicants to complete an initial expression of interest before 5pm on the 11th of September 2020.
For further information, prospective applicants can contact D2N2 Head of Capital Programmes, Tom Goshawk.
Interested applicants can download an application form by visiting the organisation’s Funding Bids page.
