Celebrating a decade

Bondholder Penguin PR is celebrating its tenth birthday with a series of events, a new website and revamped logo.

Penguin PR was launched in 2010 by long-time colleagues Sarah Newton and Simon Burch, who use the experience they gained while working as journalists for Bondholder the Derby Telegraph to raise the profile of a host of companies, schools and other organisations based in and around the city.

In the last ten years, the company has worked with big name brands, such as Lubrizol, Tenpin, Paddy Power and Cosmo. For the past three years, it has also supplied the PR for the much-loved Derbyshire County Show and supported organisers when they took the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.

The firm has always used a penguin as part of its branding and its new logo continues the tradition, while incorporating the letters P and R into the design.

Director Sarah Newton said: “We have come a long way since we launched Penguin PR and we wanted to use the opportunity of our 10th anniversary to refresh our brand, our website, and our penguin.

“Both our name and logo have done wonders for us over the years by ensuring that we’re distinctive and memorable and we’re delighted by our new, fresh look.

“The coronavirus has had an inevitable impact on our clients, but our rebrand means we are ready to hit the ground running with both existing and new clients when lockdown is over.”
