Bondholder David Brown Commercial has helped find premises for Devtank – a business supported by Marketing Derby’s inward investment team.

Devtank, a Derbyshire-based IT design company providing comprehensive production test, measurement and automation solutions, delivers innovative hardware and software solutions across a broad range of sectors, including defence, space and automotive.

Based in Ashbourne, the company was seeking a new larger facility to accommodate its current and future expansion plans, following significant growth in 2019.

Maya Yates at Marketing Derby contacted Devtank and provided subsequent support including property searches, funding opportunities and local expertise, with David Brown Commercial’s agency team providing information on Unit 1, Grassy Court in Mickleover.

Devtank secured the hybrid industrial unit, with a reception area, offices, meeting rooms, production and storage space which is an excellent fit for its business needs.

Tim Telford, Hardware Director of Devtank declared: “Maya and the team at Invest in Derbyshire (Marketing Derby)were knowledgeable about the local area, and their support enabled us to find the space we needed to facilitate our expansion plans within Derbyshire.”

Ashley Elliott, surveyor within David Brown Commercial, said: “After exposing the property to the open market, we were delighted to have secured Devtank who were looking for larger premises to expand into. Grassy Court provided the ideal opportunity for them to make the move, the hybrid unit/office building was an excellent fit for their operation.”

Tim added: “The property works for us, having a mixture of storage and good quality office space over two floors. The location is easily accessible for our clients and staff.”

Devtank’s move will enable them to create 5 new skilled jobs, whilst also allowing them to expand a global customer base.
