A rapidly growing personalised gift company has invested in larger premises at a Derby industrial estate.

Colleague Box has agreed to let a unit at Northedge Business Park, in Alfreton Road, which is owned by Morgan Industrial Properties.

The business was set up during lockdown by Derby husband and wife Adam and Natalie Bamford when the coronavirus pandemic was at its peak.

They came up with the idea of putting together personalised gift boxes to help keep colleagues connected during lockdown.

Marketing Derby helped the couple find their first premises at Sawley Park, in Nottingham Road.

Since then, Colleague Box has grown at a rapid pace, creating new jobs and turning over £1 million in its first six months.

Now, the company has agreed to let a unit at Northedge Business Park, in a deal completed by David Brown Commercial.

Adam Bamford, co-founder of Colleague Box, said: “We needed a modern, clean unit to expand into due to our continued growth.

“The unit at Northedge provided the perfect opportunity, being a new build in an established estate close to the A61 and A38 trunk roads. We are delighted with the quick turnaround and our new unit.”

David Powell, from Morgan Industrial Properties, said: “This has been a very satisfying letting to be involved with and it is with thanks to all parties it was completed in such a short time during the current Covid restrictions.

“We are delighted to welcome Colleague Box to the tenant mix at Northedge and we wish them all the best.”
