Data cabling services firm SALCS Installations is looking forward to a busy 2021 as it helps deliver some key developments.

This year, the Heanor-based firm has been working on some major projects, despite restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

It has seen SALCS work with Derry Building Services and Speller Metcalfe to deliver projects, including the new Museum of Making at the Derby Silk Mill.

They have also carried out the installation of a site-wide network at West Midlands Designer Outlet, where it continues to install cabling to support the new brands occupying the units.

Luigi Bisceglia, project manager at SALCS, said: “As an essential service within the telecommunications sector, our engineers and staff continued throughout the lockdown, supporting food retailers, hardware suppliers and our healthcare clients, as well as continuing new build and refurbishment projects.

“The last year has been a challenge for us all, but SALCS Installations is a company in which fast thinking and collaborative decisions are key to our success with our clients.

“Although we were already armed with the technology we have all come to use on a daily basis, we missed not being together – that 15-second chat in the office turned into a 15-minute video call!”

As for 2021, SALCS has some exciting projects to work on, including the new Moorways Sports Village, alongside Bowmer & Kirkland and Derry Building Services. It will also be carrying out work at Dudley College of Technology.

The firm said: “We continue to work with our fellow Bondholder partners to support each other – but we really miss not meeting with you all face-to-face as we had all planned in 2020.”
