Morecrofts secures over £5m of new work
Morecrofts has announced it has secured more than £5 million of new electrical services projects – despite the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic.
The construction industry was one of the only sectors to avoid shutdown during the first UK lockdown, which began in March.
But the sector still saw many challenges, such as new regulations, paused projects and securing new work.
Morecrofts’ list of new projects spans a range of industry sectors, including accommodation, industrial, educational, commercial and the food industry.
And there is a good geographical spread, with projects located across the UK, from south west England to North Yorkshire.
The projects will see Morecrofts, which is based in Derby, work with firms including Clegg Construction, Clegg Food Projects, G F Tomlinson, Bowmer & Kirkland Building Services and nmcn plc.
According to Morecrofts, many of these contracts follow on from recently completed successful projects.
Managing director Jared Mitchell said the latest contract wins were a testament to his team’s resilience, the firm’s standard of work and the relationships it has built with a number of blue-chip institutions.
He said: “After an unprecedented six months during Covid-19 pandemic, we have received the green light on numerous projects, securing works into 2022.
“With other schemes now progressing we hope to be able to secure additional projects shortly.”
