Graphics and signage specialist MX Display has been using its talents to brighten up part of a hospital's children's ward.

The firm, based at the Meteor Business Park, in Mansfield Road, was approached by the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire Charity to breathe new life into its children’s Oncology waiting area, to give a lift to anxious children and toddlers.

MX Display set about designing some engaging hospital wall graphics to create a welcome distraction for the youngsters.

It has now transformed the main waiting area into an underwater aquarium, with a selection of sea animals Photoshopped into the scene to add as much detail as possible.

Whales, turtles, clown fish, rays and jellyfish all make an appearance within the hospital wall graphics for children to find and count.

In a blogpost, MX Display said: “The rooms in this consulting area see a lot of poorly children, many from the oncology unit who need regular blood tests.

“We talked to the consultants and nurses who explained that they wanted some hospital wall graphics that would distract children while they took blood samples.”
