Derby in Top 5 for 2016

Derby City Council Tourism Team continue to promote the visitor experience in Derby to travel and tourism journalists. The team recently shared information with well-known flight comparison website Skyscanner with the result that Derby has been ranked fifth in its Best Cities to visit in 2016 feature thanks to the hard work done by the team at Visit Derby.

Highlighting Derby's food and pub scene, which it describes as having 'grown dramatically' as well as pointing out that the city is the Real Ale Capital of Britain, the feature lists Bondholders Cathedral Quarter Hotel and Derby Brewing Company-owned Kedleston Country House as ideal places to stay.

The city's rich heritage and culture, including it being the birthplace of the industrial revolution, also gets a mention.
