Bombardier Wins EMT Contract

Following Bondholder East Midlands Trains' £13m funding news earlier on in September, global leader in rail technology and fellow Bondholder, Bombardier, has signed an extension to its current Technical Service Agreement (TSA).

The contract is extended until March 2018 with an opportunity for it to further extend until March 2019 and cover ongoing maintenance services support for East Midlands Trains' fleet of Meridian diesel-electric multiple units (DEMUs).

The fleet's main depot is Etches Park in Derby and Bombardier has been maintaining the 125mph Class 222 Meridian DEMUs since they were manufactured by the firm in 2002-2005.
