University of Derby Students in UK's Most Employable

According to official figures from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) University of Derby graduates are more employable than most other UK universities. 

HESA's survey gathered replies from 2,195 students out of a total 2,600 leavers from the University of Derby and achieved an impressive 96.7% in employment or further study within six months of graduating. – 15th highest amongst all UK universities and 12th for English institutions.

This result also means that the University of Derby placed higher than its “benchmark competitors”, those which are seemed similar to it such as Coventry University, Nottingham Trent and Sheffield Hallam University.

Senior staff said a concentration on 'real-world learning' and on providing degree courses which answered employers' needs and students' aspirations were behind the success.
