“We are delighted to welcome Tom, Najah and David to our team. Since our move to Pride Park last year we have been planning to expand the architectural design side of the business”
— Jonathan Naden, Managing Director at EKV Design

First to join the team was Tom Hall, a new Architectural Assistant who moved to the UK last year from Australia with a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) from the University of Newcastle, New South Wales. Tom will be working alongside senior staff to focus on scheme feasibilities, concept designs, 3D modelling and photorealistic rendering.

Joining the team next is Najah Alwi as a Project Architect who will initially be working on an urban masterplanning project. Najah's breadth of education includes qualifications from MARA University of Technology (Malaysia), Victoria University of Wellington and University of Aukland (both New Zealand). Najah is also also currently a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Nottingham – the third research and development project EKV has done with higher education partners following 'Retro-Tek' in 2010 and 'SMART-Pod' in 2011.

Finally, David Savage takes up a role as Architectural Technician supporting the delivery of schemes, producing developed and technical design work, writing specifications and carrying out on-site design liaison. David joins the team with a great deal of experience in the residential sector as well as a Building Surveying degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

EKV Design forms these appointments as part of its commitment to not only increase its capacity for carrying out architectural work but also the creativity and innovation the company is able to offer clients.
