Food giant 2 Sisters has confirmed it is in talks to acquire the previous S&A Foods site on Derby's Sir Francis Ley Industrial Estate.

2 Sisters' primary focus is the processing of poultry, although the company also produces red meat, frozen and chilled products, and biscuits across its existing 36 production sites.

The news comes shortly after the company announced a £150 million investment into its poultry division and a further £55 million in its ready meals business.

2 Sisters is now “undertaking the necessary due process”, however the operations that will take place in the potential new site in Derby are still unknown.
