Derby Showcases at Airshow

Team Derby is attending the Farnborough International Airshow this week in strength with Marketing Derby Bondholders Rolls-Royce, Derby City Council, Enscite and epm:technology showcasing the city as the UK Capital for Innovation in aerospace.

Farnborough 2014 is an international show through and through, attracting visitors and exhibitors from all over the globe. Jimmy Drew, Inward Investment Executive for Marketing Derby, commented: “It has provided the opportunity to catch-up with international businesses looking seriously at Derby as a location as well as develop a number of new contacts.“

Announcements already made include Rolls-Royce winning a deal to make the Trent 7000 the exclusive engine for the new Airbus A330neo. The Trent 7000 incorporates experience from the Trent 700 engine, architecture from the Trent 1000-TEN, and latest technology from the Trent XWB.
