Devtank scoops national tech award

Test and measurement firm Devtank is celebrating after scooping a top national award for its technology.

The firm, based at Mickleover, won the OpenUK Open Hardware Award for its test and measurement platform called HILTOP (Hardware-in-the-loop Test Operating Platform).

HILTOP is the culmination of several years of development followed by various customer deployments into diverse industry sectors such as space, telecoms, energy and scientific research.

Applications range from production test to bespoke control systems and component level testing.

Tim Telford, co-founder and chief technical officer at Devtank, attended the awards, which were held as part of COP26 Open Technology for Sustainability conference in Glasgow, which was hosted by OpenUK and a number of sponsors.

He said: “We were delighted and honoured to win this award for our HILTOP test and measurement platform.

“A big thank you to OpenUK and all the sponsors for hosting such a great event.”
