Marketing agency growth leads to five new staff
Following an acquisition of a Derby-based creative agency, various appointments and a view to exceed a £1m turnover target, Bondholder Purpose Media is set to expand its range of services further this year.
The firm - based in South Normanton - was originally set up in 2009 as an e-commerce website and online marketing specialist, however it has now developed into a full service marketing agency.
Purpose Media achieved 66% growth in turnover in 2014 and acquired Revolver Revolver back in October 2014. The firm has also recently appointed five new staff including:
- Jonny Stringer – Marketing Manager
- Karol Hauszyld – Client Support Apprentice
- Jack Thomson – Client Support Apprentice
- Connor Burton – PHP Developer
- Nick Alexander – Senior Developer.
Managing Director of Purpose Media, Matt Wheatcroft, said: “Breaking three vertebrae in my neck in the summer of 2015 was a huge turning point as it gave me a lot of time for reflection and planning. I returned to work and set about making the changes that would make the business independent of any one individual but still ensure fast and scaleable growth. Together with the management team it was decided that the most appropriate strategy to expand our business was to establish other divisions under the Purpose Media umbrella run by specialists in each new discipline who can manage and grow a bigger team as more clients come on board.”
A new strategy has also been introduced to offer other related services such as video content, photography, blog copywriting, social media training and advice, press release writing and dissemination and enhanced SEO consultancy.
During 2016 the firm intends to acquire other local businesses with related skillsets that will complement the existing portfolio of services and help to improve the offer to clients. The ultimate goal of the new strategy is to reach £10m by 2020.
