New initiative aims to help firms innovate

Technology consultancy TBAT Innovation has launched a new initiative, which aims to support small and medium-sized businesses to innovate.

The Innovation Challenge has been designed to stimulate and support innovation in SMEs by leveraging the expertise of TBAT’s unique partner network.

It will see partners come together to deliver four free workshops held throughout spring on the topics of finance, people and recruitment, product design and protection and business strategy and marketing.

According to TBAT, these topics are barriers that many innovative businesses face, and can cause delays to research and development projects or taking innovative products to market.

In May, following the workshops, applications will open for businesses to submit a full business plan and be eligible to win a £5,000 cash prize and tailored support packages from a selection of the partners.

Two runners up will also receive a support package from partners involved in The Innovation Challenge. The winners will be announced in June.
