Amanda’s Strong Investment in Mercia
Bondholder Mercia Image Print has celebrated major investment into the business. Helmed by Amanda Strong, the Long Eaton based printers has invested over £100,000 as part of phase 2 of its development programme.
Mercia Image has invested in a new fully automated laminating machine, which is capable of laminating 24,000 A4 sheets per hour. In addition personalisation and Direct Mail are now an integral part of Mercia’s business; the company now offer full in-house service printing and mailing out for all their current and future clients.
The printer has also invested in new fully automated plate maker, which offers an enhanced high definition finish on all print work.
Managing Director Amanda Strong has helmed the company through the tough times and her entrepreneurial spirit has helped push the company forward.
Over the past twelve months staff levels at Mercia has increased by 20%. The company has also made a strong commitment to apprenticeship schemes; one of the company’s apprentices was a runner up in the recent Chamber of Commerce Young Business Person of the Year award.
Amanda commented: “We are already on target to hit budget increases of nearly 20%, so we expect this investment to really put the icing on the cake. Our customers know that we already provide a premium service but with the enhancements and the efficiencies in time and money our customers will benefit all the way.”
