The organisers of this year’s Ramathon and Ram 5 Mile are appealing for volunteers to help with the event.

The Ramathon is the oldest and biggest event of its kind in Derbyshire. It was organised by Run for All for the first time in 2018.

The race, which this year starts and finishes at Silk Mill Park close to Derby Cathedral, has proven to be an extremely popular addition to Run for All’s events calendar, attracting thousands of runners raising cash for good causes.

For this year’s event, which takes place on Sunday 29 June, volunteers are needed for a variety of roles, including route marshals, drink station marshals, finish processing marshals, race office marshals and wayfinders.

In a statement, Run for All said: “If you’re not already signed up but still looking to get involved, then now’s your chance.

“We would love to have you join us and volunteer at this amazing event.”

In return, volunteers receive free race entry to future Run for All events (excluding marathons), a goody bag and automatic entry into an end-of-year raffle.
