Festive sandwich to raise funds for kids’ charity
East Midlands Railway has teamed up with its sandwich supplier to support a campaign aimed at raising money for a children’s charity.
The Spirit of Christmas campaign, supported by Quorn, will see 25p from every Simply Lunch Vegan Festive Feast sandwich donated to Meals & More.
The charity aims to tackle holiday hunger and social isolation affecting children who have access to free school meals during term time but face inadequate food provision during school holidays.
To help, Meals & More works to provide funding and stability to enable holiday clubs across the UK to offer nutritious food and social activities for the children who attend.
Philippa Cresswell, customer service director at EMR, said: “We’re thrilled to again take part in this meaningful campaign.
“I’m confident the sandwich will be a favourite festive treat for our customers, especially knowing their choice will help support such a fantastic charity.”
