Game developer named among best places to work
Videogame developer Bulkhead is celebrating after being named one of the best places in the industry to work for the second year in a row.
At the UK Best Places to Work Awards 2024, organised by http://GamesIndustry.biz , the firm was named among the Mid-sized Company winners.
The event crowned 26 game companies for their excellence in supporting their staff, based on a two-survey system, one for the employer to fill in (worth 20% of the score) and the other for employees (80% of the score).
Based in Derby, Bulkhead was originally formed in 2014, producing indie titles The Turing Test and Battalion 1944.
In 2022, the studio was acquired by Splash Damage and has since grown to 120-plus in-house employees, working on a new title called Wardogs.
In a post on social media about its latest award, the firm said: “This is a reflection of our incredible development team and their relentless passion for Wardogs. It’s their award.”
