Manufacturers shortlisted for regional awards
Toyota Manufacturing UK and Pennine Healthcare have been shortlisted for awards recognising the region’s top manufacturers.
Both companies have been shortlisted for the Made in the Midlands Awards, Insider’s annual celebration of the region’s manufacturing sector.
Toyota, which has its UK car manufacturing plant at Burnaston, is a finalist for the Automotive, Aerospace & Rail Award, while Derby-based medical products manufacturer Pennine is up for Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m).
Ian Griffin, deputy editor at Insider, said: “This year’s Made in the Midlands Awards has once again attracted a strong range of entries; everything from new businesses with a handful of staff to one of the world’s best-known manufacturers.
“The shortlists represent not just the best, but the very best, of what Midland manufacturing has to offer the world.”
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Birmingham on 25 April.
