Florists in new city centre location
A floristry business has relocated to new premises in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter following a deal completed by Salloway Property Consultants.
Quality Florists Derby, which has been in the city centre for more than 30 years, has moved from the Market Hall to Sadler Gate.
William Speed, of Salloway Property Consultants, who represented the landlord, said: “It’s great to see a local business showing faith in the high street and hopefully this instils confidence to other potential occupiers who may be hesitant about the retail sector of the city centre.
“Sadler Gate is the perfect location for such a business as it benefits from excellent footfall and is historically home to a range of boutique and designer shops.”
Mary and Penny Oxspring, owners of Quality Florists Derby, said: “It was perfect timing for us. Having to vacate from our previous premises, it just so happened that Salloway Property Consultants brought this property onto the market at the right time.”
William said: “It shows that there is still good demand for high street retail units, it is reassuring to see that local independents are still aiming to be on the high street in Derby city centre.”
