Firm’s handiwork for university is a sign of things to come
Hardy Signs has installed vibrant new hoarding signage around the site where the University of Derby’s new business school is being constructed.
Work is well underway on the state-of-the art educational building in Agard Street.
But while construction is taking place, the university wanted the construction site to look more aesthetically pleasing.
So, it approached Hardy Signs to install colourful hoarding signage to promote the new building.
The university’s marketing and design team provided the firm with vibrant designs of colour splashes, wildlife and innovative technology.
Hardy Signs then took the designs and turned them into panels, which have now been installed on fences surrounding the construction site.
The panels intend to emulate the school’s mission of being the region’s only net-zero carbon business school, powering the next generation and partnering with local businesses and organisations such as Rolls-Royce and Great British Railways.
Manjit Paget, the university’s business school programme manager, said: “We are very pleased with the professionalism, communication and flexibility by Hardy Signs in completing this print and installation for us.
“Great workmanship and collaborative working. Thank you to everyone involved at Hardy Signs.”
Construction of the new business school officially started in June last year.
It will be a state-of-the-art facility, home to cutting-edge research and a hub for education.
It is due to open in 2025 and is projected to educate over 6,000 students by 2030.
