Office supplier teams up with trust

Kings Office Supplies has teamed up with Derby County Community Trust to boost local charities and put the spotlight on local businesses.

The partnership involves Networking for Charities, which was founded by Laverne King, managing director of Kings Office Supplies, back in 2019.

In the past, it has held monthly face-to-face networking events in Burton, raising more than £5,000 for local charities.

Now, it will start holding events at Harrison’s Hub, at Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium, beginning with an event on 17 January, from 12noon to 2pm.

The sessions aim to raise the profile of charities to local businesses, as well as provide networking opportunities.

Proceeds raised at each event will be split between Derby County Community Trust and the charity guest speaker on the day.

Laverne said: “I’m delighted to be working with Derby County Community Trust to expand our Networking for Charities events, creating awareness and offering networking opportunities to businesses locally.”

The monthly meetings give local businesses the chance to be ‘Business Spotlight of the Month’, allowing them to raise their profile.

Charities are also invited to put forward guest speakers.
