Search launched for café operator

A search has been launched for a new operator of a café within one of Connect Derby’s managed workspaces.

For the past four-and-a-half years, Bean Caffe, at Friar Gate Studios, has been owned by Swain Myers.

But due to a lifestyle change, the opportunity now exists for a new operator to take over the helm.

A past winner of Best Café at the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards, Bean Caffe has a diverse customer base – from Friar Gate Studios’ tenants and the public to the local business community.

Ann Bhatti, business centre manager at Connect Derby, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs or commercially minded food enthusiasts to take over a thriving, well established business.

“We hope the successful operator will create the same sense of community that Bean Caffé has established at Friar Gate Studios over the past 13 years.”
