QUAD announces extensive festive programme

QUAD has announced an extensive programme of festive events, covering cinema, visual arts and workshops.

Called QUADmas 2023, the festive campaign kicks off with a Christmas-themed cinema programme, which will see the Market Place venue show a seasonal film each day from 1 to 24 December.

Films lined up include Christmas classics such as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, White Christmas, Scrooged, Elf, It’s A Wonderful Life, Die Hard, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Arthur Christmas.

Back by popular demand, The Lost Boys will join QUAD for a family- friendly rendition of A Christmas Carol on 8 and 9 December.

This special production will weave live performance with cinematic projections to bring new life to the time-travelling, spectre-filled festive adventure.

In the QUAD gallery, The Cathedral Quarter Christmas Grotto (9 to 22 December) and Northern Lights Experience will transport visitors to a festive wonderland.

And for just £4 per ticket, children will meet the main man himself, Santa, and receive an arts-based gift to take home.

Festive photo stations will also be set up in the Northern Lights Experience.

QUAD also has limited tickets available for its Breakfast with Santa event, which runs from 9 to 17 December.

This experience not only includes a hot breakfast buffet surrounded by the Northern Lights Gallery experience, but it is followed by a visit to The Cathedral Quarter Grotto and includes a short story and gift from Santa.

Elsewhere, throughout the festive season the QUAD café bar will be serving a festive drinks menu.

Scheduled workshops will continue to run throughout December, many of which will include a festive twist.

Finally, QUAD is asking people to give the gift of the arts this Christmas with its wide range of gift options available.

These include a range of gift vouchers including a ‘cine supper for two’ and ‘annual membership’.

QUAD is also offering the opportunity for patrons to sponsor their favourite seat and have their name featured on a plaque.
