Support for a healthy lifestyle attracts top talent
The team at Loates HR Consultancy have embarked on a wellbeing drive with the help of employer-funded private healthcare.
Owner of the Derby-based HR and training consultants, Sarah Loates, now provides private healthcare for its entire team, including four recruits recently appointed to bolster its HR and management training teams.
Staff can now take advantage of 24/7 GP appointments, mental health support, physiotherapy, private hospital treatment and menopause support.
Sarah said: “We care about our team and their wellbeing. Not only do we want them to be fit and healthy, but we also want them to feel that we care about them as their employer.”
As well as giving access to medical treatment, the healthcare scheme incentivises members to keep fit via a rewards system. It provides rewards such as Apple watches, free monthly cinema tickets and discounted hotel breaks.
Sarah said: “The jobs market is extremely competitive and turbulent, so organisations need to be prepared to adapt if they want to attract top talent.
“As a micro business, it’s vital that when we find good people, we continue to be a great place to work, and private healthcare is ideal for providing that ongoing commitment to our staff.”
