Having made headlines in 2012 for becoming the UK's first commercial law firm to attract private equity investment, entrepreneurial professional services firm, Knights, is expanding into Derby.

Set to join other businesses on Pride Park , Knights plans to build a 30-strong professional team in Derby over the next 12 months. The firm has doubled its turnover to £20m with the number of professionals rising from 80 to more than 200 across its three existing offices in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Chester and Cheltenham.

Knights has come to Derby after meeting with the Invest in Derby team at the popular embassy breakfast event at MIPIM earlier in the year. Since then, Marketing Derby has worked closely with Knights to assist with their expansion into Derby, providing hands-on support as and when required, and the firm has also come on board as a Marketing Derby Bondholder.
