School praises GCSE students
Derby High School is reflecting on a stellar performance by its students following the release of their GCSE exam results.
The school said that two thirds of its entries were awarded at the top grades 7 to 9, with 25% achieving grade 9.
According to the school, the achievements of its Year 11 students extend beyond the examination hall.
In a statement it said: “They have embraced the school values, embodying not only academic excellence but also compassion, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
“These qualities will undoubtedly serve them well as they continue their educational journey and eventually become the leaders of tomorrow.”
Head Amy Chapman added: “These outstanding results are a testament to the unwavering dedication, intellectual curiosity, and resilience of our students.
“It is a joy to witness their growth and development, and we have every confidence that they will go on to achieve even greater things in the future.”
