UFC star drops in on restaurant
Anoki has recently welcomed a legend from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to one of its restaurants.
Mixed martial arts fighter Khamzat Chimaev recently dropped into the Burton restaurant for a meal before travelling to Manchester to take part in a meet and greet with fans.
The Swedish MMA fighter, who is originally from Russia, has six million followers on Instagram and is regarded as one of the most promising names in UFC.
Khamzat’s name adds to the many famous faces who have dined at Anoki’s restaurants in Derby, Nottingham and Burton.
They include the late fashion icon Vivienne Westwood, England manager Gareth Southgate, former world snooker champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and cricketing legend Rahul Dravid.
Owner Naveed Khaliq said: “We were delighted to welcome Khamzat to our restaurant and were honoured he chose to dine with us.
“We are proud that our delicious cuisine and superlative service attracts people from across the globe and would like to wish Khamzat every success for his next fight in October.”
