Test and Trace strategic appointment

Chair of Bondholder D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, Elizabeth Fagan CBE, has joined the new NHS Test and Trace service, leading to David Williams, Chairman of fellow Bondholder Geldards, becoming interim Chair of D2N2.

She joins as its first Marketing Strategy Director in an interim capacity, starting with immediate effect, and will play a key role in setting the overall marketing strategy for the service.

The NHS Test and Trace service has been launched to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and therefore enable more people to get back to a more normal way of life.

Deputy Chair of the D2N2 LEP and Chairman of Geldards, David Williams, will take over as interim Chair of D2N2 until Elizabeth returns.

On her appointment, Elizabeth said: “My decision to be part of this national initiative is to help the nation in its response to the pandemic. I will continue to remain in touch and remain fully behind our collective ambitions for the region’s economy, especially as we move towards planning for recovery.

“David has my full support, and I wish him and team the very best until I return.”
