Bondholders Ask the Chameleon, think3 and Invictus Communications are celebrating their success in winning a coveted place in a competition, worth £3,000.

Following a recent study conducted by Bondholder the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) into 5000 businesses, which found that one in three small firms that have temporarily shut during the lockdown may never reopen, it joined forces with Mail Metro Media to give small businesses affected by the COVID-19 crisis a chance to receive a £3,000 tailored advertising package. The package is free of charge, with the potential to reach millions of customers.

Mail Metro Media is the advertising division of dmg media, representing some of the UK’s most popular media brands: Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, MailOnline, Metro, Metro.co.uk and the newly acquired i news brand.

The competition was open to all small businesses and of the 6,000 applications received in just four days, 1,600 winners were announced.

Speaking about spotting the competition as part of her FSB membership, Rachel Hayward, founder of Ask the Chameleon and lecturer at fellow Bondholder the University of Derby, said: “I knew competition would be fierce, but it didn’t deter me. I am delighted that they would choose a range of different small and micro businesses such as mine. I am really looking forward to the experience.”

Being recommended the competition from Rachel, Lee Marples, Partner at think3, said: “We didn’t necessarily expect to get anything but you’ve got to be in it to win it. We’ve grown our business organically since 2019 and this gives us an opportunity to really showcase what we can do with a national advertising campaign.”

Jonny Mcphee, Managing Director of Invictus Communications took to LinkedIn to thank Rachel and Dean Jackson, founder of fellow Bondholder HUUB, saying: “I’d like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to Rachel Hayward and Dean Jackson for the advertising grant tip off. It’s fantastic to be chosen out of so many applicants.”
