To help prepare school leaders for the return of primary school children from 1st June, Kul Mahay, founder of Bondholder Ignite Your Inner Potential, will hold guidance sessions.

The UK Government unveiled its road map earlier this month and set out its aim to re-introduce those children currently in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 back into school, following an absence of almost three months.

As an associate lecturer in leadership at Bondholder the University of Derby, and with more than 32 years’ experience of working for the police, Kul aims to prepare Head Teachers and senior staff to build their mental resilience and leadership skills ahead of the re-start.

Kul said: “No teacher or head teacher has been trained to deal with a situation like the COVID-19 outbreak; we are in unchartered territory and these are uncertain times. They’re worried about how the school will operate going forward and how best to look after both themselves and their pupils.

“There are so many conflicting thoughts which they are having to deal with right now and my webinars – which are free – will help them to manage their leadership capability and build mental resilience.”

The first webinar held on 18th May attracted 120 schools, and almost 200 schools have signed up for the later webinars. The remaining session is on Friday 29th May at 4pm

The webinars are free of charge. To book your place and for further information, please click here.
