Architects scoop award for people approach

Architects Morrison Design is celebrating after scooping an award recognising its approach to people development.

The firm claimed the People Development Award at the recently held Constructing Excellence Awards East Midlands.

The award recognises organisations that appreciate and nurture their workforce to ensure they maximise the value of everyone’s contribution to the business

Nik Clarke, director at Morrison Design, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won the People Development award.

“It’s part of our ethos to inspire and develop our people and the happiness of our team is critical to us.

“We’re pleased to have less than 5% employee turnover rate, which demonstrates our commitment.”

Morrison was also a finalist in the SME of the Year category and Sophie Cantrill, an architectural assistant at the firm, was nominated in the Future Leader category.

Nik said: “There was such a high calibre or entries in each of the categories this year and we want to take the time to congratulate all those who won and were shortlisted for an award.

“I’d also like to congratulate Sophie. She’s early in her career yet we can already see that she’s going to go far – a true winner in our eyes.”
