Architects shortlisted for national award

Architects Morrison Design has been shortlisted for a national award for championing the important role of women in construction.

The firm has been named as a finalist in the Women in Construction Category of the London Construction Awards.

The awards honour major achievements, developments and innovations across the UK’s construction industry.

The shortlisting comes after Morrison recently reviewed its people strategy, resulting in the introduction of numerous initiatives and policies to support diversity and inclusion in its practice.

Director Nik Clarke said: “We’re honoured to be shortlisted for another award.

“The London Construction Awards are open to businesses across the UK so it’s no mean feat to achieve a spot on the shortlist.

“This award recognises the work we’ve done, and continue to do, to improve diversity in our practice and champion the women in our team.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 22 September.
