The people behind a new heritage vehicle centre being created inside a former Rolls-Royce factory building are appealing for an operator to run its on-site café.

Great Northern Classics is currently transforming the former Light Alloy site, in Osmaston Road, into a centre where owners of classic vehicles, including cars, motorbikes and lorries, can bring their pride and joys to be repaired and restored.

Once completed, the centre is expected to create 120 jobs – and provide a space where classic car skills can be preserved and passed on to future generations.

As well as featuring workshops, classic car storage areas and events space, the £3 million project, which is due to open in late summer, will also feature an on-site public café.

The people behind Great Northern Classics, which includes former Marketing Derby chairman Mike Copestake, are now appealing for an operator to come forward.
