Developer adds to portfolio

Property developer The Sadler Gate Company has added to its portfolio following a deal secured by BB&J Commercial.

The firm has snapped up a two-storey property in Ashbourne Road, which it is looking to transform into residential units. The building was formerly home to a framing business.

Cameron Godfrey, commercial surveyor at BB&J Commercial, said: “We had a significant amount of interest in this property, which is not surprising given the demand within the lettings and HMO sector generally, with the student market being particularly strong within the area.

“With the property being located close to the University of Derby’s city centre and Markeaton campuses, I anticipate a strong level of student demand.”
