Distillery gets into festive spirit

White Peak Distillery has lifted the lid on a special whisky it has released in time for the festive period.

Wire Works Whisky Virgin Oak Finish is the latest limited-edition release from the Ambergate distillery.

According to White Peak, the whisky has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels, giving it more rich, spicy notes.

In a statement, White Peak said: “This limited-edition dram is the perfect whisky treat for those looking for something a little more intense and complex this festive season, with its rich spicy, leather notes alongside toffee apples and caramelised sugar.

“And as it’s limited to just over 3,000 bottles, demand is expected to be high so it may not be available for long.”
