Toyota announces lean seminar dates

Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK has announced the dates for forthcoming seminars, which will raise cash for its charitable trust.

At the Lean Approach Seminars, delegates are given insight into the firm’s approach to manufacturing, increasing quality, efficiency and profitability at its Burnaston factory.

The firm has now said it will be holding seminars on Wednesday 8 February, Wednesday 1 March and Wednesday 12 April.

The sessions will include tours of different departments and a Q&A with the plant’s senior management team.

Donations from the sessions go to Toyota’s Charitable Trust, which provides funds to support charities and community groups local to the Burnaston factory, as well as the firm’s engine-making plant at Deeside, in North Wales.

Since 1992, the trust has donated more than £7 million to the local community.
