IT firm receives major international award from tech giant
Global IT firm Bam Boom Cloud is celebrating after scooping a major international award from technology giant Microsoft.
The firm, which is headquartered in Derby, was recently named 2022 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award for Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The company was recognised among a global field of more than 3,900 entries for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
Bam Boom Cloud, which uses Microsoft cloud technology to help small and medium businesses grow, moved to its current headquarters in the Cathedral Quarter earlier this year, with help from Marketing Derby and Derby City Council.
Brett Critchley, executive chairman at Bam Boom Cloud, said: “This award really puts us, and Derby, on the map.
“In the past two years we have grown from a local to a global business and to have this recognition from Microsoft that we are best in class and right at the forefront of innovation in our field, is truly mind-blowing.
“I cannot thank our dedicated team and amazing customers enough.
“The past year has also seen us open our Derby HQ, which we couldn’t have done without the continued support of Marketing Derby, Derby City Council, and too many others to mention.
“Winning the Partner of the Year award supports our continued business growth, which is in turn enables us to create some exciting opportunities for young people in our city – building the next generation of home-grown tech experts.”
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based applications, services and devices during the past year.
Awards were classified in various categories, with winners chosen from submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide.
Bam Boom Cloud was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft’s accounting system for small and medium-sized businesses.
