A new business park in Derbyshire is filling up fast with a number of deals for units either completed or in the pipeline.

Work on Forbes Park, at Long Eaton, began a year ago – and despite challenges within the construction industry, work on the first phase is now complete.

Clowes Developments, the company behind the scheme, said that construction of Unit A, comprising a standalone 19,500s q ft unit with a secure goods yard and private car park, completed last month – and the unit, will soon be occupied by its new owners.

Block D comprises four individual units totalling around 13,700 sq ft. This building has been sold to a private investor and occupiers are expected to start moving in later this year.

Meanwhile, occupiers of Block F, including Toolstation and City Plumbing, are already open and trading.

The final occupier of Block F, who are yet to be named, are completing their fitout, and are aiming to begin trading by the summer.

Elsewhere, construction continues in other areas of the site. Unit C is expected to be ready for occupation by the end of the year with a private investor already lined up to take occupation of the building upon completion.

Block E comprises four terrace retail / fast food units with a prominent roadside presence and parking. The target completion date for the units is 19 May, with a national bakery chain due to take occupation of Unit E1 once complete.

Three units remain available to let in unit E’s retail/fast food facility.
