New beauty business raises an eyebrow
A beauty business, which promises to offer a luxury London vibe, has opened in the heart of Derby’s Cathedral Quarter.
Toni McEvoy founded The Brow Edit back in 2020, initially offering eyebrow treatments from a salon created inside an outbuilding at her Borrowash home.
But despite the pandemic, such has been the success of her business, that she has now opened new salon in Sadler Gate.
According to the mum-of-two, who has spent the past 12 years working in the beauty industry, her aim is to bring a London vibe to the city centre with her business.
Speaking to the Derby Telegraph, she said: “I spent a good 15 months searching for a salon and nothing ever came right until I found this one on Sadler Gate just before the New Year.
“I literally viewed the property for 30 seconds and turned to the landlord and said ‘get me the paperwork’.
“I just think it’s a really nice street. There’s so much history, it’s not modernised. It’s in a league of its own for Derby, it’s just gorgeous.”
The new salon has already had its soft opening – and is due to be officially opened by the Mayor of Derby on 22 April.
