IT firm boss wins global leadership award

The boss of Derby IT firm Bam Boom Cloud has scooped a top international award for leadership.

Vicky Critchley, chief executive at the firm, which last week officially opened its new headquarters in the Wardwick, was recently named Outstanding Leader of the Year at the 2022 Digital Revolution Awards.

The awards recognise and celebrate the very best individuals and global businesses in cloud technology.

The Outstanding Leader of the Year category recognises the most inspirational leaders across the cloud space.

Vicky Critchley was recognised for helping Bam Boom Cloud develop a reputation not only for customer excellence, but also as an inclusive and progressive workplace.

Vicky takes a proactive and hands on approach to helping women thrive in tech – and, under her leadership, the percentage of women in Bam Boom’s global team has grown to 32%, with over half of senior management positions held by women.

She said: “This award means so much to me, and is dedicated to my team, who I am privileged to lead and who mean everything to me.

“I must also recognise Microsoft, whose cloud technology is the backbone of our business, and the Women in Dynamics community, which I am honoured to chair.

“Together we can make a real difference in shaping a more inclusive and diverse technology sector.”
