Derby business centre welcomes new arrivals

A Derby business centre owned by property group Staton Young has welcomed two new arrivals.

Cornerstone Facilities, which is a cleaning service and facilities management company, and plumbing and heating contractors Professional Heating Solutions, have both recently taken offices at College Business Centre, in Uttoxeter New Road.

Cornerstone Facilities, which cleans commercial offices, retail outlets and industrial properties, is taking permanent office space just 11 months after setting up.

It was established by Adam Miley, who was previously a hygiene manager in food processing and prior to that, an operations manager for cleaning at a hospital.

Adam said: “We chose Staton Young after looking around at offices in Derby.

“We know if our company grows, Staton Young will be able to accommodate space for that.

“Making this move will have a positive outcome. We will be able to invite potential customers to a profession and clean environment.”

Professional Heating Solutions, which works with several clients, including insurance companies, housing developers, letting agents and private clients, has moved to College Business Centre due to recent growth.

The firm’s Daniel Jones said: “We chose the College Business Centre because of the characteristic building, central location and the fantastic service we have received.

“We were mildly affected at the beginning by the pandemic. We used the initial lockdown to evaluate our business and move in the direction we wanted to grow.

“We found the process, from viewing to sign-up, quick, easy and simple.”
