Distillery links up with brewery to launch new gift
Derbyshire’s first-ever whisky distillery – White Peak Distillery – has teamed up with a county brewery to create the perfect gift for beer and whisky lovers.
The distillery, based at the Wire Works, in Ambergate, has joined forces with Bakewell’s Thornbridge Brewery to create the Boilermaker pack.
Showing off the best of both brands, the pack features White Peak’s single malt spirit and Thornbridge’s flagship beer Jaipur IPA, alongside a special edition stainless steel pint cup and shot glass.
White Peak Distillery is the region’s first ever whisky distillery, established in 2016 by Max Vaughan.
He said: “Thornbridge Brewery has long been at the heart of the region’s food and drink scene and has been a champion of innovation and quality.
“We share the same values and we’ve loved working together on the Boilermaker. It really showcases the benefits of collaboration among local businesses.”
£1 from each Boilermaker pack sold will be donated to Derby Mountain Rescue Team to support the lifesaving service they provide.
A team spokesperson for DMRT said: “We’d like to thank the team at White Peak Distillery and Thornbridge Brewery for supporting us with this new venture.
“It’s been a difficult year for everyone, and our normal fundraising routes have diminished.
“A big thank you to both of these local businesses. Their support is a much-needed boost to the team and our fundraising efforts.”
The Boilermaker kit will be available to purchase from both whitepeakdistillery.co.uk and thornbridgebrewery.co.uk.
