Derby and Derbyshire showcase
Derby and Derbyshire will be showcased to global investors on the 24th-26th November as part of the inaugural Midlands UK Forum for Growth.
The trade and investment event will be held entirely on a digital platform, and is led by the Midlands Engine Partnership, bringing together key stakeholders to achieve the region’s vision for greater sustainable growth and economic prosperity.
Public and private organisations from the Midlands, along with international investors will gain a comprehensive insight into the region’s strategy, policy and plans for sustainable growth. Local authorities, universities, businesses, government and investors will be given the platform to meet and develop relationships, collaborate and share best practice, and generate investment and new business.
A spotlight on Derby’s investment opportunities (Tues 24th Nov a.m.) will be delivered by Matthew Holmes, Deputy Leader of Derby City Council and Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transportation, and Paul Simpson, Chief Executive of the Council.
Barry Lewis, Leader of Derbyshire County Council and Cabinet Member for Strategic Leadership, Culture and Tourism will be part of a panel (Thurs 26th Nov) discussing 'How does the Midlands develop the Visitor Economy – post COVID-19'
